Designed for self-loading forage wagons where it is not possible to mount a tank in a safe accessible place on the front of the wagon or for wagons with a moving front board. We have manufactured a 400 litre underslung tank. This tank has a built-in sump to prevent the pump starving on uneven or sloping ground and a filler port that can be used to fill it more safely from ground level. There is also a low-level switch that will alert the operator, via the control box, when the tank is nearly empty and needs to be refilled. (Digital controller only)
If there is not enough space on the wagon for the 400 litre tank, we can also supply a slimline 200 litre tank with a filler port kit. This tank does not have a sump so it would be advised to mount it angled so that the output end of the tank is lowest.
An alternative to an underslung tank is for the 200 litre slimline tank to be mounted on the side of the wagon. As the tanks are slimline, they do not protrude further than the mudguard.
The underslung tanks kits are supplied with one of Selmech’s Pump Modules, these are available in a two output ranges (0.5-5 L/Minute and 1-10L/Minute (open flow)) and are supplied with either the Dflow+ digital controller or the PWM basic controller. All kits are supplied with easy to clean filters, 2 spray nozzle holders, (more can be added if preferred) a selection of jet sizes, 2m power cable and 10 meters of durable braided tubing with quick release connecters.
Selmech’s digital in cab controller has custom settings to set it up to suit your operating preferences. A flow sensor is read by the control box to monitor and automatically adjust the pump motor to deliver additive precisely.
An applicator stop start signal from your harvesting machine, if available, can be used by the control box to pause and resume the pump automatically. It will keep a running total of the amount of additive used. There is a connector in the control box for the addition of a thru beam crop detector and the option of using a Low-level warning switch.
Our own in cab variable speed controller that enables the operator to set the output of the pump easily and make manual adjustments for varying crop densities. It has an LED fault indicator to warn of a blown fuse or power supply issues. There is a boost button to run the pump at full speed for a short period if there is a temporary heavy crop density encountered. There is an output for the addition of a thru beam crop detector. A guide calibration chart is provided to help set the required output.
A thru beam crop detector kit option is available for use on balers and forage wagons. When positioned to detect the swath as gathered up by the pick up it will switch the pump on when the beam is broken and off when it is not.
A tank with a filler port kit allows for the tank to be filled at a low level.
400 litre tank with sump mounted under the rear end of a forage wagon.
A 200 litre horizontal tank fitted where space does not allow for a 400 litre tank.
A 200 litre vertically slimline tank on the side of the wagon as an alternative to underslung.
Automatically turn the applicator on and off as crop is being picked up.
