Below is a selection of photographs showing a variety of Selmech Supplies silage additive applicators mounted on a range of different forage wagons. These include liquid tank kits and dry powder/granular applicators, showing different installations that have been used by previous customers.
Traditionally these have usually been mounted on the front of the wagons if there is a static front panel. If you have a wagon with a moving front panel, then other options are available. We have designed a 400 litre underslung tank which is to be mounted at the rear of the wagon, it features a moulded sump to prevent the additive pump from starving when levels get low. Because the tank will be hidden from the users view there is an option to have a low-level switch to warn when the level in the tank is low. We have also supplied setups with slimline tanks mounted on the side of the wagon used in conjunction with one of our module kits. Some customers have also opted to mount the tank on the front link arms.
Our Powdermaster additive applicator would normally be mounted above the pickup so that it gravity feeds down three tubes which ensure even coverage of the crop. A blower attachment is used where gravity feeding is not possible.
